I am Vietnamese and come here at least twice a month, year round. In the colder months, have been here 4 times in one week! The best, BEST pho, hands down. Pho is my favorite Vietnamese dish. We will break this pho down in different criteria's of noodle, accompaniments (veggies), meat/protein, price and lastly/most importantly the broth.

Noodles: done perfectly every time. The noodles aren't starchy and not mushy at all. They give a good amount of noodles. I would, however, prefer more.

Veggies: plentiful! The usual is limes, jalapeños, Vietnamese basil, beans sprouts, and culantro. Culantro is rare in pho restaurants because it is typically more expensive.

Protein: also plenty! They make sure to fill the bowls, no matter what kind you get. You won't be disappointed with the meats you choose, as long as you know what they are. Their meatballs are my favorite and also top of the line. They are sourced locally from a Vietnamese company in Garland, TX. More meat and less byproduct. These meatballs are the perfect consistency.

Price: the cheapest in town at about $6-8 a bowl. There are two sizes, regular and large. I always go for the large because the price difference isn't much but the size is significantly different.

The broth: is what absolutely sets Pho Bang on top for me. It is a mixture of the Northern and Southern side of Vietnamese pho. The broth is meaty and  has a slight chicken essence (Northern) yet does not lack in the familiar aromatic spices like star anise, cinnamon, and different seeds (Southern). In the US people are more familiar with Southern style, but I promise this will meet your needs! It is a very clean taste, not heavy at all. The smell itself is entirely different than any pho you've had.

Well, there you go. That's my breakdown!

PRO TIP: get it to-go and enjoy at home. Get the noodles uncooked and boil them for 1 minute in plain water. Warm the pho broth separately. Assemble and enjoy! Warning-flank steak will be raw. Don't worry it's safe.

Pho Bang has been around a really long time and it is a favorite for many in the community. The Pho is good and it is authentic as you can get. If you're in the mood for pho than this is a good place. The food comes out fast and they have a variety of Vietnamese dishes.

Where Pho Bang falls shorts is it's cleanliness. There has been times where the dishes and utensils weren't very clean and there have been complaints about the condition of the restaurant overall as well. It's also located at a small building so it can be crowded at times.

    Recommendation:
Because Dallas has many options for great pho, Pho Bang wouldn't be my first choice but this place does serve good Pho if you do end up coming here.

WOW ! legit my top 3 pho places i've ever had !
i didn't get to try the pho because i was going to try it some where else based off recommendations but my boyfriends cousin took him here and he was blown away and told me i HAVE to try.

WOW am i happy i tried. we ordered beef balls only in soup and some spring rolls (egg rolls in dallas terms - cha gio in viet - spring rolls in nyc terms )

let's start off with the beef balls, the beef balls are like homemade ! nothing like i've ever had in NYC. it's legit BOUNCY when you chew and so flavorful with peppercorns and some tendon. the top 2 beef balls i've ever had

what blew me away the most was the pho broth. the broth was legit clear, not murky like most pho places it was CLEAR. SO flavorful nothing like i've ever had before. i don't know what type of herbs or seasoning that was used but wow i normally don't drink the pho broth but i legit drank it and almost finished because it was that good. i will for sure be back whenever i come back to dallas !!

spring rolls were good (: very long compared to nyc spring rolls haha. solid (:

my go to pho place in dallas so far. me and my boyfriend legit dream about it now. nyc pho can't even compare or touch this place. we were so sad having nyc pho cus this place just ruined all other pho places for us !

Where to go for Pho and Com Tam in DFW area. Pho is very flavorful and delicious with meatballs, brisket, and sliced beef. Broken rice is very good as well. Very large portion. Restaurant is clean inside with great service.

I soooo want to love this place. The staff Vietnamese aunties are so cute and nice and welcoming, and the counter dude was frighteningly efficient at ringing up my order. The place was perfectly packed too on a Sunday morning with that nice busy, cozy feeling while still not being too crowded.

That being said, the food (pho, extra meatballs, fried eggrolls, and fried rice) fell flat. An unfortunately disappointing drive out to Garland. With so many others, I will not keep back (and this is why I review -- b/c in a few years, I might forget coming here)
